Rick and Rhonda from iCycle Electric, Christchurch, brought some e-bikes to Tekapo for people to try out. We parked down at the Old Homestead Carpark, lake side, and locals were able to try out these very groovy bikes.

Spring!!!!
Snow, heat, wind, sun, lupins, stars…all in the same week! Many visitors to Tekapo this week haven’t seen to many stars but there’s been plenty of snow. Bike hire has, of course, been inconsistent - just like the weather. Fingers crossed that it will start to look like summer soon. Onwards and upwards!
Bike Servicing
Thanks to all the Tekapo and Fairlie folk who have been supporting the bike servicing aspect of my business. There’s been a mixture of bikes thrown at me for repair and servicing. This involved a lot of problem solving on my part which has been great for my development as a bike service technician. For the Fairlie folk, I was able to travel down from Tekapo and provide a pick up and drop off service for the bikes. Good luck to the Mackenzie College triathletes for their upcoming event. Ka kite ano ;-)
