Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand fly direct from Wellington to Timaru - the closest airport to Tekapo (96kms). We provide an airport pick up and return from Oamaru if required, from October to April inclusive. For shuttles only - Trail Transport.

Christchurch Airport is three hours from Tekapo (222kms). We offer a group shuttle for $700. See below for other transport options.

Intercity Bus

Intercity Bus runs between Christchurch Airport - Christchurch City, Dunedin and Queenstown. If your cycle tour ends in Oamaru, we can arrange transport back to Timaru Airport. The Intercity Bus travels between Christchurch, Tekapo Oamaru, Dunedin, and Queenstown. Your own bikes must be disassembled and boxed. If the bus is fully booked, the number of bikes to be transported may be limited so please check their information carefully.

Atomic Shuttle

Atomic Shuttle runs between Christchurch and Dunedin stopping in Timaru and Oamaru en-route. Please check if they are running as COVID has impacted significantly on shuttle services.
