Bicycle and Equipment Hire Terms and Conditions
I, The hirer understand that the bike hire, and/or tour commences and ends at the dates specified at the time of booking. I, The hirer, shall pay the sum specified for the hire prior to the commencement as per the payment methods listed below. I accept that the bike/s are hired and ridden at my own risk. I understand that I am responsible for ALL repair or replacement costs, except puncture repair, relating to ANY damages, or loss to the bicycles and accessories from and not limited to negligence, fire, theft, or attempted theft. I, The Hirer will not hold BeSpoke Bike Tours Limited, or any of the employees, responsible or make any claim against them including claims arising from the hirer’s negligence, or any direct or indirect injury or damage to the client or it’s property. This hire agreement is governed in all respects by New Zealand Law. Visitors to New Zealand should have travel insurance due to the limitations of Accident Compensation Corporation cover.
Admin Fees, Deposit, Cancellations and Booking Transfer Policy
I/We agree to a non-refundable $50 booking fee per person for four or more; $150 up to three, for A2O tours. A 10% non-refundable deposit is due within seven days to secure your booking. After paying the deposit, changes to accommodation or bike hire are not permitted due to high demand.
The balance of payment for all bookings is due 30 days before the tour or hire begins. Cancellations within 30 days are not refunded but can be rescheduled within 12 months at the new seasonal rate. Multi-day tours incur either a $50 rebooking fee per person for four or more; or group fee of $150 for three or less people. One invoice will be provided per group. BeSpoke Bikes Tours Ltd charges a 10% commission on accommodation bookings, excluding meals. All other cancellations between 30 and 8 days before the start date, a 50% refund applies. No refunds for cancellations within 7 days.
LUGGAGE: bags are weighed and must not exceed 15kg. Any bag that is overweight, will be charged as an additional bag. Bag transfer cancellations are not refundable. Plan carefully!
PAYMENTS: Balance of payments are due 30 days before the hire or tour start date. New Zealand clients - where possible, please pay by bank transfer to avoid additional credit card surcharges.

All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST. Payment can be made via internet banking, credit card, or Stripe.
Commissions will be added to your invoice before payment is made.
Credit card payments are charged a commission of 2.5%.
Stripe payments are charged a commission of 4.25%
For customers outside New Zealand paying by international money transfer, a fee is added for funds clearance.

Should a government mandated lockdown (not isolation) occur, $60pp is withheld. The balance of any other payments made is refunded. Should you choose to cancel a booking, the deposit is non-refundable.
If you cancel your tour, you must notify us by email. Cancellations apply to the hire period in its entirety - start to end. We reserve the right to cancel bookings where the deposit has not been paid within seven days of an invoice being issued.
Force Majeure
If BeSpoke Bike Tours Ltd is prevented, directly or indirectly, from performing any of its obligations under this agreement by way of severe weather events, strikes, trade disputes, fire, breakdowns, interruption of transport, government or political action, acts of terrorism, acts or omissions of a third party or any other cause whatsoever outside the control of BeSpoke Bike Tours Ltd, we are under no liability to you and may, by written notice, either cancel the tour and issue a partial refund, or make alternative tour/trip arrangements as required.
Client Responsibility
Customers are required to take all reasonable steps to prevent theft and damage to all hired equipment. Bike locks are provided and should be used when bikes are unattended. Customers will be required to pay for any wilful damage or loss. Replacement or repair costs will be determined by Bespoke Bike Tours Ltd.
